After reading the article "Now on Facebook, Your Future Doctor, Partying.” by Jill Laster and "What Employers are thinking when they look at your Facebook page." by Forbes magazine, it is clear to see that professionals look at whats online before hiring an individual. In the article by Jill Laster, she describes how when her and a fellow colleague were looking at students facebook pages, they found graduate medical students, completing their residency, on  facebook at an alcohol soaked party with their lab coat on it. I would not feel comfortable if I saw that on facebook, and knew that the guys or girls in that picture could potentially be taking care of me.

In the article "What Employers are thinking when they look at your Facebook page." by Forbes magazine, It tells how often employers do look at your facebook page. Although many people find it unfair, employers look at it and see what your likes, dislikes, best photo angles, and what your personality may be like. It gives people a first judgement without seeing, or speaking to you face to face first.

Although many people don't like the fact that potential employers do look at social media plat forms, there is nothing a person can do to stop it. My best advice to anyone looking to get a job, career, and make money is to not be silly about what they put on social media.

 A major question asked is "Why don't you read?" and I can't think of a legitimate reason as to why I do not read. I have always had difficulty reading, throughout school, for fun, or even out loud in a classroom, or to my little sister. I don't know what it may be, I don't have an imagination, maybe I just can't get interested in what I'm reading.

I have not finished a chapter book in the time I can remember. I've read bits a peices of books, but I always get bored. Some people say it's like a movie in your mind, but I can never seem to visualize that movie in my mind.

When it comes to technology though, yes I am addicted. I constantly have my phone connected to my hip. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, texting, every aspect of technology I am addicted to. The amount of times I scroll through my news feeds on all those sites a day, could be overwhelming to people. I am always on my phone,

On 1/18/15, I got into a car accident, and it was one of the scariest things in my life. It opened my eyes to what career I'm getting into. Sitting into that hospital bed, I realized a hospital setting is not where I'd like to work. Hearing the puking, the stroke patients, patients with the flu. I sat there and questioned, am I sure I want to go into the medical field?

Puking is a fear that has always been apart of my life. When I was graduating high school my dream was to become an Ultra sound technician, or a PA (Physicians Assistant) in sports medicine. But when people told me that they see puking quite frequently my career choice changed drastically. Medical, to accounting and business. How does that even make sense? I went to opposite ends of the job spectrum.

When I got told about Bryant & Stratton, I decided I would push everything people told me to the side and do what I have always wanted to do. I guess I have to get past my fear one day, right? While I was in the doctors office waiting to get my cast put on, I talked to a few of the nurses that came in to see what their background was before they worked for Strong Orthopedics.

When I found out that you don't even need a degree to work for Strong as an assistant I was shocked. If you get the position, you go through a 6 week training program, and then you're there. Although a degree is better than not having a degree, it is not necessary.

I guess I should keep going to school and get my degree, than maybe one day I will be able to get started in my dream career, at Strong Orthopedics, and be able to go back to school, and get my college tuition payed for.
